Can you use bore water on lilly pilly trees in half wine barrels? And also planted in the ground.

Hi Sylvia,
To be honest, it really depends on the quality of your bore water, which itself depends on the qualities of the soils and rock it has to pass through. This and other variables will determine its suitability. Some bores can be too salty or have high iron or other minerals that can affect the health of the plants that are watered with it. It would be a good idea to take a sample and get it tested or if it is a common aquifer shared by many, this information could already be readily available. Start by asking your local council or government department.
