    1. Entries must include:
      1. High-quality photos showcasing your garden or allotment.
      2. A short description highlighting your growing journey, plant variety, sustainability practices, and maintenance efforts.
      3. Your selected category (see above).

    1. We want to give all growers the best opportunity to enter, so we’re giving them a couple of months to get their gardens ready and flourishing for peak Spring season.
  1. How does this competition differ from other gardening awards?
    1. Unlike other gardening competitions that focus solely on aesthetics, Top of the Plots celebrates diversity, resilience, sustainability, and innovation in growing. It recognises home gardeners, allotment keepers, schools, and community projects, making it the most inclusive and comprehensive celebration of UK gardening.
  1. Is there a specific number of entries expected?
    1. While the competition is in its first year, interest is expected to be high due to the surge in UK gardening participation. The National Allotment Society estimates over 80,000 people are currently on allotment waiting lists, highlighting the demand and enthusiasm for growing spaces.
  1. Are there any restrictions on who can enter?
    1. The competition is open to all UK residents except employees of GARDENA, its partners, and those professionally connected to the competition. Only one entry per person per category is allowed.
