With the GARDENA Soil Moisture Sensor, the moisture of the soil is considered for automatic irrigation. Irrigation is not started, or an ongoing irrigation is interrupted, when the soil is sufficiently moist – that helps to save water. The Soil Moisture Sensor is simply stuck into the ground beside the plants, and electronically, durably and reliably measures temperature differences in the earth. You can set the desired moisture level with the rotary knob. The current moisture level can be read. The Soil Moisture Sensor is supplied with 5 m connecting cable. For operation, two 1.5 V alkaline batteries are required (not included). These ensure reliable measurement results for approx. one year. A weak battery level is indicated. Note: The Soil Moisture Sensor can be connected to the following products: GARDENA Water Computers C 1060 profi (G1814), C 1030 plus (G1862), GARDENA Water Timers T 1030 (G1832).
