Cutting lawn edges

In August, the strong growth phase of the lawn is over. The grass grows more slowly and goes into winter dormancy around October/November. For the lawn to look neat and well cared for in autumn and winter, you should cut the edges of the lawn again. Paths and paving stones do not then become overgrown and the beds remain free.

Ideally you should cut the lawn edges before mowing the lawn. The blades of grass thus cut off when mowing directly end up with the rest of the grass in the grass box of the lawnmower and do not have to be collected separately.

There are various tools available for lawn edge care: simple manual Shrub Shears, Accu Shrub Shears (with and without a handle) or Trimmers. Depending on garden size, preferences and convenience, individuals must decide which product to use.
