Let your lawn rest during the winter

As soon as there is snow on the lawn or frost and hoar frost spread over the lawn, you should leave it in peace. Otherwise, walking over a frozen lawn leads to yellow-brown patches becoming visible when the snow melts which are as big as the footprints of the person who has walked over the lawn. The blades of grass react very sensitively if walked on when frozen and may die. Therefore in spring the only remedy is to sow new grass in the damaged areas to obtain an evenly green lawn again.
Therefore, avoid walking on snow-covered lawns if possible. This helps your lawn to grow faster and stronger again in spring.
