Thomas Heinl new Chief Operating Officer at GARDENA
Ulm, 10 January 2005. Thomas Heinl (47) has been appointed with immediate effect as the new Chief Operating Officer (COO) of GARDENA AG. Prior to this appointment, he was managing director of GARDENA Manufacturing GmbH with responsibility for production, quality and OEM sales. Heinl has been with the company since 1997.
Thomas Heinl is taking over the function of COO from Dr. Friedrich Böbel (43), who has resigned from the company.
Martin Bertinchamp is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of GARDENA AG, Erich Schefold is Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of the company.
"GARDENA is extremely grateful to Dr. Böbel. His services to the company played a key role in making our program for increasing profits a success," says CEO Martin Bertinchamp.
GARDENA, the leading European producer of high-quality gardening tools, is represented around the globe in more than 100 countries and employs around 3,000 people. The holding company Industri Kapital took over GARDENA in May 2002.
